ascendancy download

i found an old game called ascendancy on a sight called abandonia i have a few questions
1.is it safe i don't want a virus
2.will i need dos box to run it? if so where can i get it
3 any hints?

Abandonia won't give you viruses. You need DosBox. Play as the lizard things that get the research bonus or the ghost things that can terraform barren planets. The AI in that game is dumb. I don't remember much else about it.
