Hi. It's time for pinups.
To achive likeness, I'm trying to take the following into consideration:
- Communications image
- Melee pilot image
- Printed images (manuals and guide books if canon)
- Communications text and conveyed feel
- Printed text
- Mental image (varies from person to person though.)
And on top of that the design should be good of course.
Without further ado, I'll start with:
THRADDASH
Can't decide here. Tried some morphs between the different images and descriptions. I'm throwing in a Syreen for scale reference.
For comparison:
UTWIG
I based their anatomy on the word 'Twig'. Balls for head.
SHOFIXTI
Could vary in appearance just like house cats do. Maybe they have a lot of latent/dormant genes to prevent inbreeding.
ILWRATH
- Not buying it this time guys!

UMGAH
(Cccombo breaker for the ladies)

Next time, some time: Spathi, ZFP, Pkunk, Yehat, VUX, Druuge, Mycon, Chenjesu, Slylandro, Mmrnmhrm, Taalo. Yeah, well, the rest of them.

I like b2 image for the Thraddash. I assume that when there in there ships the pressure suite is to protect them from the heat of the high intensity afterburner.
For the Utwig, the 4th one over from the right looks and feels correct to me.
The Shofixti look a little like Stitch form Lilo and Stitch. But they fit the bill alright.
I have to agree with meep that the Ilwrath need to be more scary in there original form .
Umgah, second one over from the bottom right. That one is dead on perfect.
And ouh la la to the Syreen. She's got a certain anime quality to her.

The Thraddash B series looks the best to me. Isn't B1 just B2 without any clothes?
The Shofixtis seem a little too small for my taste. If that's canon you can disregard what I'm saying, but I don't think it is.
That Ilwrath isn't intimidating enough, but Arne already seems to realize that.

After the partial destruction of the ZFP homeworld by the Kohr-Ah, the ZFP realized that keeping all the eggs in one basket is not such a good idea. They contacted the Melnorme, who soon purchased bio data collected by the ZFP scouts... along with a collection of canopic jars allegedly containing remains of a Zebranky. This netted the ZFP some 450 credits, which they promptly spent on design guidelines for a starbase with an advanced Point Defence and Fusion Blaster defensive system. This new Starbase design would be used to establish several remote colonies.
The Umgah had found out about the deal, and immediately offered over fifteen hundred credits worth of information for the Zebranky data - an offer the Melnorme could not resist.
What happened next is shrouded in mystery since the Umgah lost contact with the secret colony where the experiments on the bio data took place. Nevertheless, the Umgah were overjoyed by the end result.
The Zebranky are returning home.
Re: Shofixti - I think they should be small because they breed and mature fast. I try to stay away from too human in proportion looking aliens.
Utwig - Yeah, they probably wear masks most of the time, maybe they're trying to make up for ugly balls head. With the masks being so central, they might mean 'change clothes' when they say change mask. Clothes gotta match the mask I think. It's fun to play around with clothes on aliens since most of the other aliens are just nude-ish.
Ilwrath - There are 2 images here, comm (red) and pilot (black 5 legged).
Thraddash - Interesting idea with a pressure suit. It doesn't look like one though (with the mouth and tongue), but it could be adapted. Maybe the mouth is a visor. It would be interesting to go more rhino on the anatomy. The B* versions are just morphed humans now, and I think more interesting things could be done.

Rough first concept of a Thraddash Hardsuit.
I'm thinking the Thraddash should be B but with the chest of C, cuz they have natural armour plating or samething, and it'd make them more alien.
