Hints for the last sequence:
When Arne says that the right answer "includes shifting with wraparound and a sneaky increment", he isn't talking about the sort of wraparound that happens to C's integers. Also, "includes" could actually be replaced with "is". Also, the aforementioned wraparound, unlike the incrementing, is applied each time a new member of the sequence is computed.
Giveaway (Spoilers): To compute a new member in the series, change the last letter to the next letter in the alphabet (except for the letter o); then, take the last letter and put it in front of the word (this is to be done if the last letter is o, too). So the next member is "goco".
