Some notes seem to jump off from the musical scale and that's a bit jarring, especially at 00:05-00:06. I hope you get what I'm talking about..
I think I do. I'm afraid it's all in the samples.

anyhow, it still sounds like Ur-Quan, but a bit frantic and quite desperate
Ur-Quan are inherently frantic and desperate Smiley

Kohr-Ah ambience is a nice bit. I didn't remember the original so I had to listen to it. (content/comm/blackur/blackur.mod right?) The original sounds kinda wierd. Both are more serene than what I'd expect.
(right.) I was kind of stuck with serene since all the non-ambient samples get REALLY irritating if you hear them often. Not that it didn't work out.

Had to listen to the Precursor remix as well. Damn these sound clean and sparkly.
Heh heh.

I don't think those two remixes kept much of the original - for instance, the Ur-Quan one lacks the violence of the "gong" sound, and the Kohr-Ah one is missing any resemblance to the "wind" and "water" ambience.
