Ah, good. Now I can relax.

I'm trying to download the alpha version, but am having difficulties. Two times already the game has transfered only partially while claiming to be completed. I get the screen that shows it being copied to my hard drive, but when I look at the file it's only 104 megs in size. On the first time it was even less. I do have a theory though. It must be because of the low space I have on C drive, which apparently is the destination for some temp file the download is first being copied to. Oh well... either third time's the charm or I'll have to do some arranging of data.

"Screen that shows its being copied to your harddrive"?  This sounds an awfull lot like you are using Internet Explorer to download it?

Try getting a download manager... http://www.getright.com/ is invaluable and I've bene using it for years and years.  It allows you to start downloading from the point of where it cut you off.

Good ole sc2-pc musics. They are still ranked on top 5 game musics of all time (right up there with omf2097, settlers (2), etc..) me thinks.. Smiley And who hasn't ripped the mods out of the game ? Roll Eyes
Oh, and end game sequence from pc (with the original muzic ofcourse)..and the intro sequence too Smiley

ps.Why not use eg. Opera browser (faster more reliable with some great new options)?

Yes, I downloaded through IE, because Download Accelerator didn't work and my age old copy of Getright has stopped working and I didn't bother to download and install a new version. I guess I should.

"Smooth zooming melee camera"

They implemented this in the latest version of TimeWarp, it doesn't feel right.  The stepped aproach of the original is surprisingly much less distracting (but maybe that's just because it's what I'm used to).

Also, the stepped zoom is useful for determining grades of range. Like, I knew when my Spathi was just the right distance from a Kohr-ah when I zoomed in twice. Now I end up playing a lot closer, and with considerably more casualties, because it's harder to estimate range (the only clue is the screen size of ships).
