Anyone posting in this thread (or anywhere else on this forum), please make it interesting enough for people to want to read it.
If this thread had any chance of making any difference, I'd be happy to allow useless postings, but as it is, I'll close this thread if it just becomes a collection of postings posted for the sake of posting.

How can you say that? "ITT we are posting on the internet" was the best thread we've had in Off Topic. Well if you want content, this audio clip is content.

Anyone posting in this thread (or anywhere else on this forum), please make it interesting enough for people to want to read it.

Hello!

My name is Lukipela, and I intend to bump this thread for two reasons. Both are fairly long and interesting. They provide the sort of content that ensures that quality threads stay open.

1) It is a nice way for forumites to show their support for a new SC sequel. Despite the fact  that the thread in itself does nothing to increase the chances for a SC sequel, it may well help create awareness of the issue. And as we all know, awareness is the first step on the road to recognition, which at some point in time may well lead to aforementioned sequel. Surely this can't be a bad thing? After all, awareness is the mother of necessity. In short, having a thread like this may remind people of other issues which may help, such as signing the petiion and sending in their pictures. These are important issues, and any extra attention these worthy causes garner is well deserved, even if the price is a little meaninglessness. Isn't that a price we should be ready to pay? For the children? It also helps build a community feeling, and aids us in warming to each other and putting aside our differences. It makes more alike and less alone in a cold harsh world. Don't deny us that comfort. I feel that all such attempts should not only be valued, but encoruaged. In many ways the UQM is a cold and clinical forum, where people may feel that they lack the familiarity and comfort they require to start up new topics and open themselves up. this is a unique chance for the UQM forum to become a more open, and warmer place. A happy place.

2) In this thread, much as in many other threads, interest is in the eye of the beholder. Instead of asking "Is this interesting to me?", you should be asking yourself "Is this interesting to us? For are do we not all, in our own wonderful way, define what we find interesting? Surely the eagerness of your fellow forumites in this thread, compared to their lackluster performance in other recent threads, must give you an inkling of how fascinating we find this subject, and how interesting we feel that it is? Ask not what your forum can do to interest you, ask what you can do to interest your forum. All we are asking for is a chance to blossom into the beautiful flowers we are, the radiating dandelions of joy we could become. To be treated equally. As Shiver so eloquently puts it "How can you say that?".

Golf clap? Golf clap.

Doing my humble best to show that "interesting", and "good" need not be connected at all.

To keep the thread interesting, there appears to be a lot of definitions for golf clap that I wasn't aware of. I assume you were using definition two from that list, which is the reasonable and expected reply to drivel. I sincerely hope you weren't thinking of definition four or onwards, because... ew.

[... (lots of it)]

I hope you don't expect me to reply in a similar manner...

Didn't you mean to talk about powers?

We're supposed to include discussion or content of some sort in our posts from here on out says the Meep. For instance, if I was desperate to keep this topic from falling off the first page of Starbase Cafe, I would respond to Lukipela's confusion over what a golf clap is.

BUMPBUMPBUMPBUMPBUMP!!!!!!

Okay, Hi guys, I'm Vol, you can call me Vol (You gonna call me Vol?) . I'm gonna be honest - I was actually playing SC(Not)3 recently, and I've gotta say, I agree, that...notquel...has the same syndrome that Diablo III was having a while back. Whereas SC1 was bright, colorful and...um...rotary...and SC2 was...bright...colorful...deep, exciting...and an all around beautiful game, SC(Not)3 just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It really does. I mean, it's like you were in the world of Dr. Who and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy crossed with Star Trek to the Nth Degree and then all of the sudden you get whisked away into the bleak future of Battlestar Galactica meets Warhammer 40k. (Don't get me wrong, I love both of those, but if you slap a Star Control title on it to try and make me happy, I'll smack you and tell you to go back into the kitchen and get me the grapes I asked for. No, the ones in the drawer. The one on the bottom. No I don't want THAT cluster, it's nasty and...yeah...anyways...) But from a budding student of Game Design, I fully endorse a new Star Control game. Come on ,Activision, Paul and Fred already cleaned their rooms, walked the Dnyarri, and ate their Supox, what else could you want?

A guarantee of profitability. Hence why they wind up making licensed games all the time.

Hopefully their newest project will turn out to be as exciting as we all hope.
