Yeah you are all a bunch of nerds, but that’s fine.
So he’s banned himself before anyone else could do it first. I reckon he’ll be back SATURDAY just to prove EP wrong.
(And so by that logic he’ll actually be back Sunday to prove me wrong)

At the risk of being ridiculed, which I REALLY HATE BTW, I feel I must interject: “Oh come on now guys. Let’s be nice to each other and foster an environment of acceptance and kinship in our little community. We should be spending more energy on expanding our player base, not further refining our highly cultivated cynicism.”

If jaychant hasn't left a negative impression on you, you probably should be ridiculed. Registering at SCDB has given me a lot more exposure to him, though.

Well, thanks for all the replies! Even though only two had to do with the topic. 
Im just a noob to the game (SC2 not SC1) and the forum, and I was crushed by the thoughtless decision of Jaychant to abandon not only the forums, but all of us as well. It leaves me with an infinate list of questions, like, how could he not think of the children? what will we do now? and, will UQM Forums survive these hard times!? 
After a good cry, a bottle of wine...ok, a couple bottles and a visit to worship the porcelin god, I have come to terms with jaychants departure. From happy camper to MIA, he will be marginally missed.

Ten bucks says he'll be back by tomorrow. Friday at the latest.
Nah. What's going to happen is that about one to one and a half week from now, he's going to reregister and make a thread about pretty much like this one.
Well you're almost right. Instead of returning to the forum, he has started editing the Ultronomicon, first edit about one week after declaring that the community was too nerdy. <cynicism>Great, now I have do deal him.</cynicism>
