Doublechecking Orz marine behavior

On Ultronomicon it says a single Orz marine will make 8 kills on average before kicking the bucket. I seem to recall this number being 5.6 from a previous thread on here, a thread I have been unable to find while using the search function. So which is it?

It's 9.

8 on average once it enters, and each marine always kills one crew when it enters.
