Why don't all races have point defense lasers?

I like to turn off my music in UQM and listen to other music with Winamp... but I'd still like to hear victory ditties when they occur. Can you separate the music on/off option from the ditty music, please?

Well... Can't you just replace the battle music and others with an empty audio file?

i listen to a constantly changing playlist on winamp. too much work. just want ditty music, not combat music.

Ditty-only add-on, based on Gekko's suggestion. RTTFAQ for installation instructions.

Note that I hacked this together in five minutes and tested it about as much; there may be unforeseen side effects.
