First off, great job everyone. I've been wanting to play Star Control 2 again for years and years, and I can't tell you how happy I was to find it had been ported to the newest OS's.
My question is a rather selfish one. I played SC2 for a while yesterday at version 0.1... I downloaded the archive. Today, I updated via CVS and recompiled with VC6. Works fine. But, as I had feared, my savegame from yesterday doesn't seem to work with the newest build.
I know I shouldn't be playing just to play, because this is afterall alpha, but I have to admit, 75% of my energies are directed towards playing the game rather than debugging. I can't help it.
So, it comes down to this: is there a way to convert old savegame files (remote remote possibility I know)... if the savegame structure hasn't been modified a lot, could I undo the changes done to version .13 so that it'll load my old savegame?
I know I'll most likely just end up playing the more-bugged version 0.1, but I thought I'd ask anyway.
Or perhaps I'm not copying the right files for the savegames... I asume the savegame files are stored in content/starcon2.001, 002 etc.
Okay I'll stop now.
Thanks for any suggestions, and keep up the great work.

The savegame directory moved between 0.1 and 0.13, beyond that I believe the two file formats are identical.
When the game launches it should report to stderr where the savegame directory is; move your savegame files into that directory and all should be well.
