Hello everyone! I am an avid fan of SC2 and just finished a personality test on OKCupid that is based on that very game. It took me ages to do and I feel the need to spread the word. Well, there were a lot of challenges with this thing. Many personalities of the two dozen species or so overlap and finding some categories that would match personal traits were not that easy. Some were rather flat (one sided) in terms of character, like Supox and Ilwrath, other were much more complex and then again others really hard to define. What e.g. do you do with the Slylandro? They habe an interest in the universe but due to their physical appearance can't travel. There were lots of problems like that.
I finally settled with the ten categories and defined some archetypes. Consequently I designated highest values to some characters. So if your violence level is the highest of all values then you are, well I'm sure you could guess this one. More complex aliens have some kind of restriction when the list of possible matches is being processed. It works like this: Is 'intellectual' your highest value? If so, are you more oppressive than friendly? If so, you are a Dnyarri. Some of this is debatable but I think there are no major problems. I used some absolute values as well.
I guess I could have just gone naming them like the species (as in: “you are 65% Human”, etc). That would have probably been much more easy. But this way it's more easy to comprehend I guess.
Well, this took much more time and effort than it should be for a personality test on a dating website but I'd like to think of it as a little project of mine and a homage to a game I really like. Others draw fanart of the bubbly Orz, enjoying the sauce, I struggle with the logic that determine different fictional characters.

I know that... Sex aside, Syreen doesn't fit me at all. I could understand ZFP, Ur-Quan, Supox, Arilou, Pkunk, Orz, Slylandro, or Chenjesu (so the quiz has got a pretty good shot) but seriously, Syreen? The only races that fit me worse are Thraddash, VUX, and Ilwrath.
In short, it's a crappy quiz. Maybe you could make something with 50-80 general personality questions, and assign a value to each question for each race, and then you'd get a good result.
Actually, strangely accurate in places.

BTW, question 10 on an Umgah answer has "limps" , instead of "limbs" . if this is intentional and I just don't know the word , disregard this comment . Also , in the Spathi result , at the description , you didn't mention that the claws are mechanical additions , rather then actual limbs .
