Qspace music

I love the game, but I have one complaint.  I miss the original Qspace music.  What happened to it?  I remember the thrill I got the first time I made it to Qspace and got that wonderful music, I just paused the game and listened to it, but now I play UQM and get something else.

you know, that was sorta my same reaction as well when all was said and done.  i couldn't believe that they raped, pillaged, and burned the original quasi space music for the 3DO.  then again, i'm all about nostalgia. (:

i forget which flag it is, but you can start the ur-quan masters with a flag that will allow you to play the game entirely with only the music from the PC.  also, there is a way to modify the definition file that will play which music for what circumstance, but i've not tried it yet so i cannot speak to how exactly that is done.

fear not.  the original music is still there. (:

I suggest Reading The Fine Manual that came with the game.

Invoking the game as:

uqm -h

...will show you all the options you have, including the one to use the old PC music, thus making things right in your world again.

Enjoy.

Yes, that original Quasispace music WAS excellent.......but you should probably specify, as many people think their later version of the game was the first :-P
