Being the bad guy
« on: November 24, 2008, 11:11:58 pm »

So since I couldn't get on the computer downstairs and work on my game, I decided to try that UQM path again. I've already killed Fwiffo and that Zoq-fot-pik ship. I plan on forging a Thraddash slave empire Grin

Thats a bit harsh don't you think? i mean the spathi and Zoq-Fot-Pik are REALLY helpful throughout the entire game since you can use their ships whenever you want. i just wish that the Mmrnmhrm or Chenjesu were in it........(i'm sad because they arn't, they really need to add them in a future game....)

It's harder than playing the normal game, and I haven't yet beat it that way. Here's what you do:
1. Name yourself Satan and your flagship Hell, Doom, Death, or some other, similar name.
2. Instead of trading with Melnorme, trade with the Druuge
3. Kill enough Thraddash for them to cooperate, and form the Glorious Slave Empire of Satan
4. Name the alliance The Empire of Satan
5. Piss off everyone that you don't need to win. The only ones you don't piss off are the Chmmr, Druuge, Neo Dnyarri, and Thraddash. (You can't piss off the Chmmr or Neo Dnyarri.)

Man, I couldn't do that if I tried, I just like fwiffo too much. However I would like to  know what those glowy bits are Smiley and the thraddash are fun to annoy.

you don't piss off [...] the Druuge
Well, you know, you ought to do the fuel trick Tongue

and I personally find it very satisfying to go in with 4x point defense and kill Druuge that try to "salvage" you, but I suppose that requires trading with the Melnorme.

Well, what I mean by "piss off" is "make them so mad they will never be friendly to you". Trading with Druuge is evil anyways (I mean, dude, you're slave trading! What century are they in?!), so it's good to keep trading relations with them. (You also get to use Maulers! Grin)

So one of the conditions of wining the game like this is...

I can see that as a major obstacle in this challenge, if that's the case.

Why is it ? if you are the bad guy , you can do whatever you want , just stack yourself with a fleet of Spathi to fend off the rampaging Kohr-Ah and you're golden !
Of course you will loose the game , but being the bad guy , what do you care for the galxy anyways ?

Heh, I hadn't considered this. Essentially, to really do the bad guy route you need to let everyone get annihilated, and then laugh about it.

Stock up on Syreen Penetrators, fly over to the Pkunk homeworld and start farming Tongue

Then sell all the captured crew off to the Druuge! Free ships, and if the Starbase Commander gets angry at you, just go out and farm some more Pkunk slav.. I mean, crew members.

How would the Starbase Commander get mad at you? He's kind of "on script" about just whats going on. Also, can you have Druuge ships on your Flagship?
