When Zelnick meets the Spathi safe ones at the moon of Spathiwa, they say something like "If you held a gun to Fwiffo's head, he would say anything you wanted him to say. In fact, if you held a vegetable to his head, he would probably say anything you wanted him to say."
This has always been bugging me... Did they mean that Fwiffo would be scared of the vegetable, or does Fwiffo just really like vegetables? Or did they mean something else?

I assumed it meant he would just naturally assume that if you were threatening him with it, it must be threatening. Or that the remote possibility that the vegetable was actually some kind of weapon would be enough, er, motivation for him--that even an obviously empty threat would be too much of a threat for him to stand up to.

The safe ones say it in a way that gives the impression that Fwiffo is exceptionally cowardly. But I'm under the impression that all Spathi (except the black squadron) are like that.

I think the Black Spathi Squadron is a red herring. TFB is bound to put a few of those in the next game too, if we should be so lucky.

What Tiberian said. Spathi are cowardly by nature, maybe Fwiffo is more cowardly than most Spathi, but until I see a member of the mythical "Black Spathi Squadron", finding a brave Spathi is about as likely as finding the Tooth Fairy, or Santa Claus.
