You are allowed to vote up to five times in case you're not just one.
For me, I would say Gansta-nerd, computer geek, and Forum homie.
I love Rap. My favorite songs are Hit Em Up (2pac) and Kingston (Sean Kingston).\
I'm on the computer WAY too much.
I'm on forums WAY too much.

So here are the stats!
All but one of the voters are computer geeks
Many voters are bookworms (2nd most)
Only half of the voters are forum homies
Someone here is Goth. But no Emo dudes.
I'm surprised by the number of bodybuilders/sporty nerds.

Oh yeah. There are a lot of those in my Japanese class (go figure ). Out of interest, why are you taking Japanese? I had a friend at Uni who took a few courses, and told me that everyone there was either studying the language to go abroad, or to be able to read Manga and whatnot. I have to admit that I find that a bit odd. I mean learning a language is always a good thing, but how is it that Japanese is so popular compared to other exotic cultures/difficult languages out there? At least around my Uni, you never saw people obsessing over the Korean language, only the Japanese. Think about this for a second.
Japan has always been the primary electronics and videogames country. Most notably, Nintendo and Sony are the main video game competitors. (Microsoft is in there, but nowhere near as successful as Nintendo.)
Japan is also in control of the auto industry, much to the dismay of many of us here in America.
Therefore, Japanese is a very useful language to learn, second only to Chinese (which is WAY to difficult). This is why I take Japanese.
For your other question, I would have to say that Japan's different, isolated historical culture fascinates some people, while others simply love anime and/or manga (If you've never seen anime, i.e. Dragonball Z, then you should. They're really good).
BTW, I just reset all the votes since a lot has been added and you can't change your vote
