Toys for Bob - Jan 14th Posting
« on: January 20, 2009, 04:26:10 am »

After about 9 months of silence on Toys for Bob's website, they have updated news on a new Star Control sequel.  Unfortunately, it's not yet.  But the good news is that they have a new upcoming project!  Maybe in a few more years we'll have news geared towards our crowd.

The thing that caught my attention about their current project is that they wrote "what we've got cookin' could be just as cool" as Star Control.  So, the question is, what could be just as cool as Star Control that they're working on?  Hopefully, there will be more clues coming soon.

9 months? Maybe mine was not loading correctly, but I saw no updates in 2008.

Let's face the hard truth - Toys for Bob are slaves of their publisher(s) making Madagascar games (WTF?) and we'll never see a game innovative and special as SC for them any time soon (if ever). And if one day they are ALLOWED (WTF?) to make an SC game, it will be modeled for the taste of current gamers and most of people who grew up with SC2 will dislike it.

So I'm personally totally uninterested in what Toys for Bob does and plans...sadly.

My two cents.
