Kohr-Ah

I have a few questions.. about the Kohr-Ah, they are currently mowing over the whole galaxy killing all my allies (orz, spahti,Thraddash) so their influence rings have disappeared.. what am I supposed to do? Also, I've got the Shofixti females on board, and I'm meeting the agressive male Katana in Delta Gorno 1, but it's not possible to make him stand down.
Also, how do you perform "emergency warp" from a battle in the game? the manual says "numpad + and space" This did not work for me.. I am running PhracturedBlue's unofficial release.

You're running out of time. You need to beat the game extremely fast at this point to still have a chance at winning. You can still do it, but the odds are heavily stacked against you.
You'll know when you've lost. You've still got a small smidgen of time left.
Also, I've got the Shofixti females on board, and I'm meeting the agressive male Katana in Delta Gorno 1, but it's not possible to make him stand down.
You're supposed to escape from the battle with him several times. Unfortunately, this ties into your statement below:
Also, how do you perform "emergency warp" from a battle in the game? the manual says "numpad + and space" This did not work for me.. I am running PhracturedBlue's unofficial release.
Mine has worked fine, so I haven't been paying attention to other's responses and ideas on the matter. Escape doesn't do anything for me at all NEMT, it doesn't even seem to be related. I think it was Escape in the original game, but UQM is definitely + and Space for me. Can anyone else enlighten Shigawire?

Thanks
Btw. What is it that I must complete so quickly before the Kohr-Ah destroys us all? And silly me who had the impression this was a calm game where I could just relax and enjoy the galaxy's many weirdnesses..

Here's my summary, put into Symbol with various typographic protections for the spoiler-wary. Copy it out and view it as straight text and it should be obvious.
Grab the bomb (near the utwig, but good luck finding it now that they're dead) Go into quasispace to talk to the arilou. Get the wounded talking pet. Deliver it to the umgah. After a while, you can grab the healed talking pet (I presume you have the taalo shield). Unfortunately, this may be too long.... Grab the sun device (the mycon have it - either do the mycon/syreen quest or wait until the mycon are dead) Get the Ilwrath to leave by using the Umgah Caster (you got it from the spathi after they self-slave-shielded). Now that they're out of the way, use the sun device on the chenjesu/mmrnhrm homeworld. They should flower into Chmmr. If you have the talking pet and the bomb, you are pretty much at the end of the game. The rest should be obvious. It's just a race to get to the Sa-Matra before the Kohr-Ah reach Sol.

On the other hand, I usually try to rustle up two or three more of them, rather than getting rid of the one I have. Anyway, if you want to lose him why not sell the ship?
