I know it's a long shot, but I was wondering if anybody here is a NFL fan and/or had any thoughts on the Super Bowl. It's kind of a big deal to alot of people here in the U.S.
Since I live roughly 4 hours drive time from Glendale Arizona, I had the privilidge of attending the NFC championship game between the Arizona Cardinals and the Philidelphia Eagles which stands out as one of the most exciting events I've attended in years. The energy and excitement of the fans was overwhelming. I had practically lost my voice for two days following the event due to excessive cheering.
The Cards have never made it this far before and the AFC Champions, Pittsburgh Steelers, have made it six times before, more than any other NFL franchise. In fact the Steelers beat my team, Seattle Seahawks in Superbowl XL. Super Bowl XLIII is shaping up to be a classic cinderella story for the Cardinals who have defied all odds (and biased prognosticators) to get here.

The Cardinals are doomed.
Last year I said "the Giants are doomed".

Since my team is not in the big dance - again - (Ny Jets), I will pull for the underdog Cardinals.
However, history is not on the Cardinals side. Usually when an elite offense goes up against an elite defense, the elite defense wins. See Tampa Bay vs Oakland from a few years ago. That being said, I think the Cardinals have to continue to generate turnovers on defense as they have done so far in the playoffs, if they are going to pull off the upset.

Shiver: Well then, let's hope your predictions stay on par as last year..
Steelers = Evil Empire
Cards = Young Luke and his cohorts
Angus: Yeah the odds are not good for the Cardinals but their D is grossly underrated. They were supposed to lose both of the playoff games and suprised everyone.
