A question about annoyance
« on: March 19, 2009, 04:08:53 pm »

Not quite sure how to talk about this but with regards to the rather recent 'discussion' about jaychant's posting habits I have become curious as to my own habits.

I have found that looking back the majority of the times I have posted the topic has either ended on my input or my input has been overlooked. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining 'noone listens to me'  I'm genuinely curious as to whether I am seen as an annoying poster.

I realise this is a rather pointless topic but after reading the whole carebears vs Shiver epic adventure (nothing against either side, I personally wouldn't have voted as i don't pay enough attention to the who's of the posts more to what is being said so i wouldnt have a clue about jay's posts) I found myself truly curious as to whether I am also someone people find irritating and such.

Sorry for anyone who finds this irrelevant but yeah i'd appreciate anyone who gave me an answer.

Nah, not at all. Admittedly I don't read every post or thread in here, but I've never seen anything inflammatory or obnoxious from you. I really doubt you have anything to worry about.  Cool

For me personally, very few things really get on my nerves when it comes to message boards and such. Spammers and shills are probably the most annoying to me.

This is a really silly question. Waylander, you're at an average of 0.162 posts per day.

Yeah, I actually forgot you existed. Don't worry, you're not annoying. (Of course I wouldn't blame you for disregarding my words)

Wow it looks like Shiver has some people walking on egg shells around here. Wink "Annoyance" , like beauty , is in the eye of the beholder. I subscribe to the policy if you don't like someone's post then don't read or respond to them. Eventually the "offending" party will chill out or go away. And if they get too out of line, that is the moderator's job. I only occasionally read the off topic board here at UQM and have never seen Jaychant (or Waylander for that matter) write anything that I would consider annoying.

I think the point was, we don't see enough of you to form an opinion. As for why we haven't responded or seemed to have taken note, well, that's the thing about discussion boards, isn't it? It just goes that way sometimes.
