Question about editting the source code.
« on: April 25, 2009, 07:04:52 pm »

I'm new here, and I've been exhaustively searching all corners of google for a tutorial on how to edit the source code (Dialouge, Ships etc) So I've come here, to this slightly active forum. Help appreciated  Smiley

You've come to the right place.
I'd start by getting the source code to compile unmodified. Chances are you are on Windows, so I'd start by reading INSTALL.mingw or INSTALL.msvc from the source code.
The source code of 0.6.2, btw, you can download from SourceForge. Or you can download the development version from the Subversion repository, also on SourceForge.

I'm on Mac OSX, but I have a virtual pc emulator(Windows XP Pro 7) if that helps. And what is the difference between the regular version and the development version? And thanks for your fast response.

Ah, in that case you'll want the INSTALL.macosx file. The differences you can find in the ChangeLog file.
