Years ago I had several star control winamp skins. 

One of my favorite was of the Vux ship.   At anyrate I got nostalgic today.. and found that I no longer have any of these skins.  After an hour of googling turned up empty, I thought I'd ask here if anyone has some of these skins (Vux would be especially awesome) laying around on their systems.

This is of course going waay back, but hey you never know and it doesn't hurt to ask. Smiley  If anyone has them please let me know if you would be willing to share, i would be extremely grateful!!!!

They used to be on http://starcontrol.classicgaming.gamespy.com/files/general.shtml, but the link appears to be broken. I've mailed the webmasters about it. You can still find that page on the Internet Archive though: http://web.archive.org/web/20080204234501/http://starcontrol.classicgaming.gamespy.com/files/general.shtml. The links to the downloads are broken, but if you remove the initial part of the archive.org URL, you can still get them.
It remains to be seen whether those skins still work on more recent releases of WinAmp.

That's funny, we were just talking about WinAmp in #uqm-arena yesterday. By "talking", I really mean "unleashing a torrent of obscenities".

Awesome Meep-eep!  Thank you so much for your help!!  Downloaded them and they seem to work fine with the latest version of winamp! Smiley   Hehe so happy you really made my night, thanks man I really appreciate it.

Seems like a lot of the old site is gone.. pretty sad to see it go that route.

Two months ago would have snorted at this and replied "Sure... It's underway... Any day now..." Now, while it's still a bit off, there actually seems to be a fairly good chance that we'll see an updated PNF. This makes me pretty happy. Most of the material on PNF isn't lost, Chad has a lot safely tucked away. It just needs reuploading and relinking.
