help with running the program after install

After I install the program I try and run it and get the following message:

Searching for missing shortcut.

I tried to run it from the programs file as well, where it is installed and I get the same type of message.

I am great with computers, but it seems like a weird issue that was not mentioned on the FAQ, or this site. Can you help me out?

btw I downloaded the windows v 0.6.2 from sourceforge

Do you mean the Program Files folder on the hard disk or the Programs menu in the Start menu? What files are in the directory you installed UQM to?

Have you tried reinstalling UQM? If that doesn't help, try redownloading the setup program and reinstalling.

I wonder... it shouldn't matter, but did you install UQM in the standard location, or did you specify your own?
