I have been playing Guitar Hero for quite some time, but I didn't seem to get even near the level when I could complete Through the Fire and Flames on expert.
In June I decided that my mission in life will be to play that song to the end. I practiced around one hour every day and today was the Big Day. Today I was able to finish it.
I am in an euphoric state right now. This is by far the greatest accomplishment of my life. And this most likely will remain the greatest accomplishment to the day I die. When I'm laying on my death bed, I will look back to this day and say to myself (out loud) "At least you did accomplish something great in your life." (probably not in English though)
Though there are some people who actually make music with those fake guitars... they wrote software or something to turn them into an actual musical instrument.
That's pretty damn impressive, and only a little bit obsessive. I've only seen that song attempted live once - the guy was pretty good, thrashed lou and breezed through the bit afterwards, then he got to TtFaF and turned into Flaily McFingerfumble, so I'm a little awed.
