As some may know, I make games as a hobby. The latest challenge is a competition game with the winner recieving a cash prize and a port of their game to a handheld Playstation Personal or PSP. Dealine is the end of the month. I entered this competition for the fun of it.

How cool is that? Rumors are that the Apple version of GM is coming along. Does this mean apps for the iphone are right around the corner?

Oh that's the firefox plugin. I'm not completely sure why it's needed but it alllows you to quickly play any game on yoyo's site. All you have to do is click on the download this game now at the right hand side of the page and select run to bypass the plugin. And of course all files are scanned during upload to yoyo's site. If you upload a virus one time you're banned for life.
Part of the competition requirements is no installers or zip files allowed. All competition games are raw .exe files under 10 megs that should run easily on most windows machines.

I made another game recently. It's a rather simple RTS in which you must use the resources available to put out forest fires. The game is composed of ten increasingly more difficult scenarios. The player has to contend with fire danger levels and wind which affects difficulty. The game currently requitres a 3 button mouse with a scroll wheel. I claim that there has never been a game like it before. At least not to my knowledge.
