Where can I find a quick and comprehensive list of all the mods that are available for UQM?

I think the only good ones are Shiver's mod and EP's mod. The rest (I think) are either incomplete or not very good.

I just played elvish pillager's crazy mod, and had a lot of fun with it! But wouldn't it be better if such mods were hosted directly on the UQM site? That way we aren't dependant on free hosts shutting down etc..

Anyone with an account on Ultronomicon can host files there. It would be nice if EP would release a version of his mod without any crash bugs, but I suspect he's done with Star Control.

Wow, the amount of abandoned single-player mods is appalling. We really need more of those.

No problem! I can produce as many abandoned single-player mods as you want!

I think UQM right now is not moddable enough for creative people (ie. without programming knowledge) to create new mods easily. It would be great if UQM was as moddable as say.. neverwinter nights! That, or a new engine could be made that would enable people to just read an XML file which contains the actual data to 'generate' the game. Games could last 15 minutes, 30 minutes, a few hours or be as epic as the original Star Control 2, but they'd all be generated by the same engine.
