Melee Meet-Up [Mid September 2009]

Saturday, September 19th, 2009.


[Time]

The whole day is open for games. Peak activity will occur at the usual time. I will be around two hours before this time and two hours afterward to help coordinate games and play a few myself. This time is:

Here is how I found the various local times in case anyone's wondering.

    *  5 AM Sydney
    *  7 AM Auckland
    * 12 PM Los Angeles
    *  1 PM Denver
    *  2 PM Chicago
    *  3 PM New York
    *  8 PM London
    *  9 PM Paris
    *  10 PM Helsinki

#UQM-Arena on irc://chat.freenode.net. If you don't know how any of this stuff works, this thing that Gekko wrote may be of use to you.


[Guidelines]

Play how you want to! If someone else in the chat room will agree to play by your lunatic rule set then it's legitimate. Virtually everyone you meet will play with the #uqm-arena standard stalemate breaker rule (that's "the faster ship is on offense" in case you aren't aware) but no one's going to stop you from playing without that. Game mods, different fleet sizes, Hierarchy vs. Old Alliance, duplicate ships and bizarre rulesets are all on the table.

Sadly (or maybe it's a good thing), I won't be able to attend. I'm at my mom's house next weekend. Plus, I am starting to drop my interest in UQM and even game design in favor of being an MC (rapper), so I probably wouldn't attend anyways.

Thanks for bumping, but as suspected my social life will get in the way of this. Tonight, I'm gonna enjoy some thunder, lightning and it'll rain meters of beer.. and you dutch people will know what I'm talking about Wink.

Thanks to the handful of you who stopped in. Never thought I'd see an SCDB member show up for a melee event. That was quite a shock.
