Yeah, even if you do a Game Maker version, I won't be able to play it.

Why? Doesn't WINE cover them?

Not if it uses DirectX, due to (I think) a bug in Apple's X11. Apart from that... I've no idea.

Still... I wouldn't like it if there was just a Game Maker version. What's wrong with the web-based version?

Hmm, looks like I don't understand game making programs very well. I'm currently discussing the art with an artist, but once that is done I see no problem with letting RTyp06 have a go at the material and making a html version as well. But I do want a version that isn't restricted to just windows, so there will definitely be a HTML version. Or is Python cross platform?

Anyway, after Christmas I'll kick this off one way or another. This is going to be fun.

With some work with emulators everything is cross-platform , but web-based would be easiest to implement and access .

There is python for Unix-likes including Mac. So long as Windows has it as well, it's nigh-universal. I suspect, though, that it isn't bundled with Windows.

Python is cross-platform, yes, but my proposal was basically making something like a text adventure game, except simpler. If there's art, the HTML version may be better.

I could do something better with Python, but I'd have to delve into Python GUI libraries for that, and it would take longer.

Is that text directly from the game code?

Yuo'd have to ask the creator, Sage, over at SCDB about that.
