Damn, I'm in hyperspace, there are 10 black holes with Ur-Quan (black and green) around me so I can't move any where. As soon as I am getting out of one fight I'm immediately suck into another black hole.
Both of them wanna fight and my crew is starting to reduce...
Is there any thing I can do to run away from those hole now or is it too late?
(running from a fight is dangerous since my flag ship is very slow).
thanks

First of all it is not a good idea to venture to 'Quans space with slow ship. Hope your last save is not far away. I'll try to answer your question without spoilers - it depends on yours devices. There is a device that can help you. If you got it, you'll know. It makes green holes.

Hi, I under stand....
I'm screwed
I don't have any device. I thought I'll go out to kill some ships and earn my living so I rely on this one Spathi ship I have. I want a little too far from home and now I don't have enough fire power to kill all those ships around me.
I don't wanna start over
I'm starting to think that the only way is if I'll can find a way to hack my save game and add some people... Not that ethic, I know, but its the only solution.
(I will save to my defense that I already played and finish the original game)

Another thing I thought of - May be there is a way to edit my place on the map in the save game?
If I could get out of this area I'll be OK. I will be more prepare the next time I'm going out to space...
Any body know if that possible? I so here a post about a save game editor but nothing about editing the location. Mean while I manege to edit only the bio amount myself.

I don't know about the save game, it is compressed data, I think, but you can use memory monitor to change crew amounts during the mellee. Scanmem in Linux, ArtMoney in Windows.

Well, you have a couple of options that don't involve mucking about with the save file.
First, you can try to fight your way through the Ur-Quan blockade. The Spathi Eluder is actually quite effective against both types of 'Quan. Against the green ones, you can use it to outrun the fighters (and perhaps lure them into asteroids), and use your maneuverability and rear-firing missiles to take out the Dreadnought once it's out of fighters. Against the black ones --- as long as you don't run into a mine or get close enough for the FRIED field to kill you, you can take it out using speed, maneuverability, and rear-firing missiles.
In story mode, my favorite ship to fight Ur-Quan with is the Spathi Eluder. Its superior maneuverability and speed is key to defeating the much stronger Ur-Quan.
Second, you can run away. Press ESC in the beginning of the fight (using your flagship), and you'll run back into hyperspace.
In the future, try gathering a few strong friends before entering Ur-Quan space.

Simon - those are actually quite bad ideas, because escaping uses much fuel, and as Miconmicon is pretty much at the beginning of the game, he probably doesn't have a lot of fuel to spare. Another thing is while escaping, your ship would be taken apart by mines or fighters. The only legit way out would be just fighting them all off with poor Fwiffo.

It sounds like he has a spathi. And besides, it doesnt matter how good you are with a spathi - you'll eventually get beat by 100 ur-uan and kohr ah (esp the kohr ah).
Yes basically you're doomed. You might need to load up a previous save game

Hi guys, Thanks for the tips
Simon - my poor Fwiffo already killed like a million Ur-Quan, I have enough money from there ships to buy half of the galaxy
Still, Like Cedric6014 here said, Even Fwiffo can't bet more then 100 ships.
Especially when I don't have enough fuel even if I can survive all those ships (So I also have to wait for my friendly hyperspace trader to come and fuel me up).
eventually, I used Alvarin advice and added a few crew members just to help me stay alive until the fuel arrive....
Any how, Since I killed about 50 ships, I now have lots of money to buy what ever I want
Thanks guys!

I expect he ran into the case where there's no chance to escape between battles... and of course the Ur-Quan keep spawning, so there's no way out.
That happened to me once when I was visiting the Pkunk.

I had a very similar experience, but with the Yehat. Unfortunately I had to restart from an earlier position.

Under the revised Zarf's Cruelty Scale of Interactive Fiction, UQM is firmly in the "Tough" camp; there are lots of ways to end up in a situation you can't get out of, but most of them involve entering deep into enemy territory without being prepared. SC3 descends into "Nasty"; saying the wrong thing to an alien can get you fired, ending the game! This is probably one of the reasons why SC3 is considered evil.
All those save slots are there for a reason, people.
