Hello guys!
Couple of weeks ago I was boredly checking the stuff on my old pc and came across to my copy of the old Star Control 2. It didnt take too much time to get DOSBOX working and start to play supermelee and main-game like crazy! Eventually I ran across the UQM and these forums and found out that there's actually a possibility to play super-melee throught internet(!!!). I have been browsing these forums like an hour or two, trying to find out where I can get to play against somebody and found about the #uqm-arena.
How can I get into it? Is there still somebody around? I logged to mirc (ircnet) and tried to find ppl from #uqm-arena, but there was nobody. Was I in a wrong place? I'm dying to get a match!

Disclaimer -- I've never done this.
Detailed info on how to get on the chat channel and start a game and the "Net Balance Mod" can be found at http://gekko.frud.biz/uqmtutorial/
You need the Ur Quan Masters program; your old copy in Dosbox won't work, but it's an improvement on the original anyway (bug fixes etc.) and only about 10 megabytes.

Great to have some new blood.
Freenode is the place, and you'll need a chat client (i use chatzilla)
UQM arena is not that well frequented right now but you shoudn't have too wait long to get a game. Dont give up if it takes a while
