Don't worry about it, Kerr. Shiver just stirred up a little drama is all.

well then, would anyone like fancy 3d models of the SC2 planets?
& noobody would happen to have a mass agglomeration of all the SC2 planet textures, would they? :p
the SC2 planets are created in a more complicated way . fault formation, height maps and color maps effectively meaning that all the thousands of planets in SC2 have a different texture.
I once created such a random planet texture generator, using the actual SC2 colormaps and height translation maps. You can download it here, and work from there: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Y5YFX4HL (the flash files you want to run are in the 'bin' directory') If you want bigger or different textures or a way to save the txtures other than using a printscreen, you need to learn as3 and work with the source files which I also provided .
Here's a quick screenshot of the program in action:
top left is the height map, top right are the possible color translations in 3 color indexes (they are chosen based on the planet's temperature, but only differen with certain color maps (water and metal if i'm not mistaken) bottom left the actual planet's surface.

Err... You might want to edit those quotes, I don't understand what you meant this way...
