So, as an incredibly uninformed gamer who is looking for some good, cheap games to put on his Christmas list for the Playstation 2 or 3 (or some other console that I don't have, but could potentially buy later) I was wondering what the community whose video game opinions I already hold in high regard had on their Christmas lists in terms of good video games?

Or maybe anything else cool you'd like to share...

It seems every time I try to fire that game up I end up not finishing it.
Same with Grand Theft Auto, I've only completed Three & Vice City.

Yet every time I play a new game of Super Mario World I have to beat it within the same day...
