UQM-Extended Edition- how to install voices
« on: February 18, 2011, 09:16:25 pm »

hello

i was wondering if there's a way to put voices in the UQM Extended mod, cuz i tried copying the voice file from the original UQM folder, but didn't work

i don't mind if i have to remove the additional dialogues, so if anyone knows, can you tell me how?

It can't be done. At least, not without considerable effort. In UQM Extended, the dialogue is not linked to corrosponding voice files, which means simply having them will not work. If you want the voices, you are better off using standard UQM.

I remember what the big red letters on the UQM Extended website said when I was there:
It was something like... "Voices ruin everything! Even the point of playing the game itself! You CAN STILL INSTALL THEM, but really don't! Don't! You'll die if you do!!!"
No offense, but... the dude who leads this UQM Extended project is such a dipshit!
Still, The UQM Extended is *good*. Many things were fixed... improved. It would be an *awesome* mod with the voice acts.
The text and voice wouldn't perfectly match, but who cares? You wouldn't die!
