Star Control 2 Syreen Cosplay

Hello everyone, I'm relatively new here and I'm in need of  cosplay ideas. Since my love of Star Control has spanned about 6 years (since the 5th grade, thanks to my sister) I've decided to show my love and dedication by cosplaying as a Syreen. I already have a basic idea of what I'll be using: blue body paint, green contact lenses (I've tried  finding sclera ones but they cost waaay too much), and a purple wig or I'll spray my hair purple. The only problem I've ran into is making the costume. Specifically, the bra and the headpiece. Differently from dczanik's picture, the syreen bra cups aren't held by two pieces of cloth at both shoulders, so one of them is uncovered. Also, I'd recommend using royal purple -- or any sort of purple that has more blue than red -- cloth that blends more with blue skin.

Welcome to the forum.

There are three other canonical Syreen pictures, from the ending narration:



The bra, head piece and bracelets are probably supposed to be metal, but I guess latex or something similar will be much easier to work with, not to mention more comfortable.
But for the technical execution you're bound to find much more helpful tips at an arts and crafts forum.
