I just got done playing Project 6014, and LOVED it. I was wondering though, is UQM going to be back porting any of the graphics enhancements that are in Project 6014?

Unlikely, BUT there is an HD mod of UQM being done by many of the same people that are doing P6014.
So actually, yes.

Excellent! I used the HD mode playing p6014, and it ran VERY well on my iMac, which is running 10.6.8

Defender: One of my side projects is making an Ur-Quan Masters HD remake. It would be just like Ur-Quan Masters, but could run in HD like Project 6014. Hoping to have the first version in the next 2-3 months.
I'm willing to merge the HD project with UQM if they're interested. I'd love that. But, right now, I'd like to get the art and code running well on my end before even thinking about that.

I believe that nameable savegames is the only must-have feature for 1.0 at this point, although there is also a desire to improve the modability of the core code first. Changes already in for the next release include simplified threading, cleaned up memory and handle leaks, and C++ compatibility.
