Hello, I first want to say that I have been a StarCon fan since the very beginning (does that mean I am old now?) Recently I have been playing a game that has made me very nostalgic to play SC2 again and came across this. I still have the game in my closet somewhere...not sure how well it will work on this PC though. It looks like you have something really nice going here, and wanted to try out your new version of the game.
So my question, and forgive me for being completely lost here...but is there a way for me to just install the game without first buying/installing all of the support apps needed for this game? Is there a ready-to-go package I can just install without (much) hassle?
Thank you!

You don't need the original DOS game to play UQM.

The UQM download page has a lot of options for different computers and different purposes, but don't worry -- you certainly don't need all of them!
Installing is actually a fairly simple and straightforward matter. If your computer runs the popular Microsoft Windows operating system and you just want to play the "standard version" of the Ur-Quan masters game, you'll only need the first file -- the "Windows Installer", called `uqm-0.7.0-installer.exe`.
It should contain everything you need to start playing.
You can download extra content like recorded speech or remixed music, but none of that is necessary to play the game. There's also a brand-new release of the game with updated graphics and some different gameplay features which you might be interested in.
