Your signature/quote thing seems to appear twice. Might want to take care of that.
As for SC3, play it if the box is sitting right in front of you but don't go hunting for it. You aren't missing out on much. The difficulty of that game is almost non-existant and you have to do an awful lot of sitting around waiting for fuel.

Don't mess with the US.

I am probably putting my head on the chopping block here, but the game was decent. NOWHERE NEAR AS GOOD. But decent. Like temple of doom compared to the lost ark. There is a list out there that lists everything that went wrong with the game. Everything on that list I remember I agreed with. The game could have been better but they decided to do a half ass job. The story which I think came from the original writers is interesting but if you don't follow a walkthrough you will bore yourself to DEATH.

Save. A lot. The event engine is buggy and if you accidentally leave the system at the wrong time, well, you could conceviably make it impossible to win by not sticking around for a triggered event you were supposed to have (ship approaching. Suddenly, you disappear! Oops, game over for you but you don't find out)

I agree. Definitely play the game--it proposes a great many answers for question in SC2. It's interesting to see how the designers of this game thought the story MIGHT go. But do save a lot.

The MIDIs were fine on my machine, but that's because I'm a MIDI composer and I had them running through my synthesizer through the external MIDI ports.
Anyone have copies of the MIDI files? I could convert them to MP3s with all the new sounds and they might not sound too bad.

its worth playing for the voice acting, if nothing else =)
The Orz, especially. Best voices ever.

I dont know, I think SC3 had a good idea with the whole fuel/counter thing, and no hands-on-mineral mining. It may be just me, but i thought it was pretty cool, the whole eternal ones idea.

I think the Syreen reactions to any accusations you make are reasonable -- after all, from their PoV, they did right. There was no tactful conversation option available for you to use. (that itself is a problem...)
Though I'm not happy with the syreen representation, since their puppet looked like she had just survived falling off an express train.
