Who's that Biomon?
« on: September 19, 2013, 10:00:53 pm »

It's Penguin Cyclops and Neon Worm! (For my SC Saga project, and I'm in a Pokémon/Digimon mood.)

That is all. Maybe.

I like it! I think this is the first fanart I've ever seen of the non-sentient creatures.

I've done some in the past. These are from my Star Control Saga project so I'm picturing them as standard RPG encounter pictures. There'll be a few versions of each (e.g. minor, medium, major (or kitten, wild cat, tiger).

Maybe there are mega versions which can take out scout shuttles. I'm thinking these species are sort of like Darwin's finches (and super resilient/adaptable). Maybe the Precursors scattered 'em about.

Good to see that you're back to making SC2 art.
Excellent as always.

I'm too used to blog sites.  I keep looking for the "Like" or "praise" button for these posts.  XD

Thanks!

Another GB style test:

Random thoughts: I like the abstract visual format better for this. Every quanta (block) can be functional (in conveying what can be done in the game space) and implementation of features is easier. The player is rarely teased with the noise of a realistic looking world which doesn't behave like one. Also, I'm just in a GB mood.
