Rebel *again*? What do you mean? You mean seize control again? I think the Ur-Quan mentally neutering the Dnyarri took care of that.

Yep, the Dnyarri were genetically altered to a semi-sentient state so they can function as translators. That's why a close encounter of a Dnyarri specimen with the special skills of the Umgah was the cause of the emergence of a fully sentient Dnyarri.
