If you install them, yes.  They can't be distributed with the game because their copyright was not held by TFB.

I'm also interested in getting these to work. Does anyone have any instructions? I also don't know how to invoke them in-game.

You can get the videos on my site and the instructions on how to install them are in the FAQ.

And if I recall correctly I believe it is the shift key that calls the ship spins.
