A friend of mine told me that sourceforge has started injecting adware/malware (depending on how you see it) into projects without the authors permission or even knowledge. From what I know this forum uses sourceforge a lot for hosting mods, the remake of UQM, the HD Remale etc.. Not so sure about Project6014 (which has been silent for quite some time now).
Here's an article about the issue: http://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/06/sourceforge-locked-in-projects-of-fleeing-users-cashed-in-on-malvertising/
From what the article says it's only affecting projects that has lost traffic, but there is no telling if they have done so to small projects or projects that don't get updates anymore or even regularly updated projects.

Likely it's not SourceForge themselves, but some outsider that has hacked SourceForge (it's a regular issue with SF). Some malevolent people observe what's happening on projects and "update" with their amendments....
But the whole SF-server area is not very secure...

I see. My main concern is the people here who host their mods packages, UQM HD etc. who might have their items compromised because of this. :/
