I did notice one thing in the original game where I *coff* lost my printed starmap. I couldn't find Rigel, so I looked up some info, and went to Beta Orionis (which == Rigel); turns out there was a little duplication

Wow, 500+ names for constellations?! Where would you come up with the inspiration for all those names?
Greek mythology, Roman mythology, Norse mythology, Sumerian mythology, etc etc (you get my drift); the occult; names of astronomers, physicists and scientists; historical figures and references; animals; some names of real constellations and stars that weren't used in SC2; and a nice, handy Latin-English-Latin directory. And then of course there are also names which are obscure references (well, more or less obscure) to sci-fi, music, and so on so forth, and some inside jokes that only other TW team members would probably get... Of course, I didn't do this ALL own my own... but most of it, yes.
For example, SC2 has the constellation 'Klystron'... think of what a "Klystrophagus" would mean, and you have an idea of some of the silliness involved.
Hell, right now I have no idea when the TW full game will be released, if at all... so I might just post the entire list on a later date, just for the heck of it...

"Space cannot be measured. It cannot be angered, it cannot be placated. It cannot be summed up. Space is there. "Space is not large and it is not small. It does not live and it does not die. It does not offer truth and neither does it lie. "Space is a remorseless, senseless, impersonal fact."

There is an old PC program called PCSPACE, which can be found at http://ftp.sunet.se/ftp/pub/games/PC/old/ under the name pcsp2_2e.zip, which contains a list of 1200 stars. It allows you to view the stars from any position, but I haven't tried running it myself.
