While I, in fact, knew how the Slylandro probe arc turned out, I had imagined a completely different final confrontation. Somehow gaining control of the probes, I envisioned the Precursor ship with an army of probes as far as the eye can see, all doing their "We come in peace" song, staring down the Ur-Quan armadas, preparing for some serious violence.
Bah, a guy can dream, can't he?

The kitten polymorphs into an Ur-Q... Oops!

I'd be happy if I could get the probes I meet to join me after talking with the owners.

Heh, that would make a good secret ending. Instead of doing the Dnyarri, Utwig Bomb, Sun Device and Shofixti Ressurection quests, there could be a hidden plot line which ends with modifying the Slylandro Probe code so that they do whatever YOU tell them to do. The problem with this is that the Ur-Quan and Kohr-Ah would be able activate the Sa-Matra and incinerate all of them.

We did. You did. Yes we can. No.

Well, how good is the Slylandro at taking out Kohr-Ah?
Could be that they bust out the Sa-Matra, you distract them with the Talking Pet, and attack it at close range, where its defensive capabilities are weaker - probably a different Sa-Matra showdown battle, but potentially an interesting one.

I love YaBB 1G - SP1!

Yeah...remember the Sa-matra you fought was only using its defensive measures. The Sa-matra's full potential is much greater.

Well, given that we ended up doing it without a billion shofixti glory devices (well, at least, I did it without a billion shofixti glory devices), it would be more than a bit of a waste.
