Best Star-Con experience

The best thing that happens in Starcontrol is making EVERYONE pissed at you. WOO that is fun.  Man you go through the galaxy fighting everyone off, everyone making offensive dialogue. Do you think its possible to win the game with no allies, 'cept for the ones you need to get the sun device?

Several of us have tried this already. I will soon. But you're right, it sounds fun to fight off every race and see new dialogue. I'm not sure, but if you piss off certain races too soon, you might not be able to obtain things needed to win the game. I suspect it's impossible to get the Taalo Device after you enrage the Orz.

Also, you'll need either a very powerful precursor vessel or you'll have to sneak in a few alien support vessels because Earthling cruisers do not cut it against most enemies.

Is it even possible to get the Utwig bomb AND anger them?

As far as best SC experience, it's having Fwiffo take out the Sa-Matra fleet alone.

I think my best Star-Con experience was the first time I played through the game.  To me, challenging myself by facing the Sa-Matra with one Shofixti Scout, or peeving everyone off for fun just doesn't appeal.

I loved my first time through the game, because it was such an eye-opening, enjoyable experience.  I loved playing the game as a diplomatic, peace-loving kid (one who thought the whole Talana sex scene was gross back then, but love it now. ^_^)  While I like to re-play the game from time to time, replay-a-bility for me usually comes in the form of SuperMelee duelling.  Oh, and re-living the romance over and over again... lol.   Shocked

talking to the ur-quan kzer-za after their defeat. They're pretty fine fellows once they're not killing.

I have pissed off everyone and managed to beat the game before, it's very difficult but, possible if you know where go to get RUs you still get the Utwig Bomb by showing
the Utwig their Ultron fixed. The Taalo Device can be obtain still
but, you have to fight through 14 Orz Nenesis to get it

I have to admit that grabbing 16010 units of fuel from the Druuge Homeworld is also a pretty fulfilling experience.
