Converting bio-credits to RUs

This trick is quite useful if you've bought all the technology you can get and still have a ton of credits. A single unit of fuel costs 20 RUs or 1 credit, right? Sell all but 10 units of fuel at the star base and fit yourself with nothing but fuel tanks. Now fly out of the solar system and give your hyperwave caster a toot. When the Melnorme shows up, buy all the fuel you can hold, then return to the starbase and sell your fuel. Ta-da!

With the 1,000 credits the Umgah give you for taking care of the Dnyarri, you can make 20,000 RUs! Also, a rainbow world is worth 10,000 RUs. Not a bad deal, huh?

That reminds me of my favorite part of the game. When you get both casters, fill all your slots full of hi-efficiency fuel tanks and put 15 units of fuel in your ship. Use the portal spawner and go to the Druuge homeword, trade the caster for all the fuel your ship can hold. I love the Druuge trade master's reaction when you get the 1610 fuel units. Go back the starbase and your about 32000 RUs ahead Smiley

P.S. Using either trick can be boring if you don't have something to hold down your 'enter' key. Selling that many units of fuel takes a long time.

Smiley I remember doing that;  I think I used a paperweight (for weight) and an eraser underneath (to hold down only one key).  Those were the days...

whoa, cool good idea. Once you get the portal spawner, you dont have to collect any more minerals. just visit all the rainbow worlds. game is set!

Those cheating tricks are sooo old and lame... Just go ahead and kill all enemies and collect the RUs from your victories - just make sure no "bad guys" light up any oil well on the way...
