sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install uqm gives me an old version. Any chance is there a way to get the newest version on my linux system using terminal? Or am i stuck with sourcefordge download that i dont know what to do with....sorry

You've probably figured it out by now, but there is a potential spyware tool residing at
Code:
/usr/share/uqm/uqm.autodlrc
which is invoked by
Code:
/usr/share/uqm/uqm-functions.sh
, which in turn is invoked the first time you try to run the game by normal means.

What this does is fetching the 0.7.0 files from sourceforge.

If you want the HD or Master Mod, you'll have to install manually.
