The first example doesn't work because it assumes perfect collimation - that is, INFINITE radiance because everything's at exactly one angle, not spread out at all.
Go on, work out the optics. I mean, actual ray diagrams showing how much power will make it to Pluto… I predict that you are either going to find that the lens has to be ridiculously huge, or make a mistake.
The efficiency of solar panels is not 100%, but it's high enough to be much better than trying to reflect things toward Pluto.
