UQM.EXE Didn't Download? (XP)
« on: March 28, 2003, 06:17:13 am »

Hello, first of all a big thank you to the devs, this has to be my favorite game of all time.

I just downloaded and ran the windows installer, it downloaded and extracted all of the files, and even put a shortcut to the uqm.exe file on my desktop.  However, the actual uqm.exe file is nowhere on my computer, not in the main "\The Ur-Quan Masters" folder, nor the "\Content" folder.  Do I need to rerun the installer from scratch?  I'd rather not do another 9 hour download...

If someone could point me to the uqm.exe v0.2 for win xp, I'd really appreciate it!!!

I'm guessing something odd happened with your install. Just run it again, and on the "Installation Options" dialog, uncheck everything other than Ur-Quan Masters (which you can't uncheck anyhow). Then it will download none of the content (no 9 hours of downloading), and it should put uqm.exe and a couple of text files in your uqm directory. If it doesn't check to see if there are any errors listed in the "Installation Complete" dialog.
