Remixes

Hi all!
First of all, I'm really excited to see StarControl 2 ported so it's playable on modern machine's again. It's my most favourite game ever. Great job guys
A question: Is there a list somewhere which songs are already remixed, and which ones are not (and which ones are in progress of being remixed)?
I do a lot of music and have a little project studio and would love to do a remix for this project. Heh, I did one ten years ago too
I don't want to get in anyone's way, so if all work has already been divided then it's too bad for me... are there still songs available for remix?

Thanks for your replies!
I searched around and I'm working right now on arranging and remixing the Ur-Quan song. I think I'll produce two versions, one for in-game use (short, repeating, think original song structure) and a longer one for the upcoming Star Control 2 soundtrack CD (right) It's progressing nicely and I should be able to post something this evening...

Yep, good work man. Sounds great.
I think it needs to be a bit more evil and ominous though,
Its cool that it sounds so much like the original, but remember, this isnt suposed to sound like an invading army. Its supposed to sound like an invading melevolant alien force. So it needs to give you a feeling of evilness and awe.
I think when remixing people need to try harder to keep the remix in the "personality" of the race its for, rather than sticking 100% to the original.

Thanks
J: I agree with you that it has to sound a bit more evil and ominous. It's difficult, because I want to stick with original orchestral sounds. But I'll try ofcourse! A real mix will make it sound much more in-your-face too, so that should help.
Riku already contacted me about the remixes... so that should work out
If I find some time this evening I'll work on it again and maybe post an updated version.
Really excited to make some music for a remake of one of my most favourite games ever

W00T!
I think your remix rocks and personifies the character of the Urquan. Why..it just makes me want to erect a slave shield over family and friends and communicate with them through my trusty talking frog.
Btw, why are we all Zebranky food?

Oooohh, that's the feeling!
Hehe... I think that this song might work well with a dark choir or something singing in the background. I dunno, maybe a pounding bass sound in the background to make it sound eviller, y'know?
It will be more evil-sounding. When it's properly mixed it will be much more powerful (I hope). I also think that to follow J.'s suggestion to make it sound more Ur-Quan like (less, human army) I will change a bit in the sound, add a synth drone for example in the lower end. It will still sound orchestral, but with a weird feeling... some ambient sounds effects...? And a choir? Well, it was there in a previous version, but it became too crowdy. In a later part of the song, or a variation of the theme... who knows
Anyway, Riku and I spoke about the remixing. The songs are supposed to be kept secret 'till release, for the surprise effect. So, no more previews until it's done (just be patient) ;-)
Thank's for your suggestions and kind words everyone
