Meh, never noticed that in SC3.
Maybe because I disliked the voices in SC3, and simply ignored them. And whenr eading, my brain reads with an autocorrect function. So I alwas read "Zapsats".
Otherwise I take it for a spelling mistake, and the voice actor being non-knowledgeable in the Star Control universe simply read what was written.

I absolutely liked the voices in SC3 and in SC2 they are horrible, done by friends of paul and fred instead of real actors if I'm not mistaken.
Never had voices in SC2.
Only in UQM I played with voices, and cut them out the moment I found the setting. (Which I only searched for after having heard the voices.)
So, can't say much about voices.
I prefer reading myself...

I originally played without voices and when UQM came out played with them on. But when you encounter fwiffo with his bad squeeky voice early on in the game you get the impression that you're playing a kiddies' game or watching sesame street.
Besides that, the quality of the voices'  sound is abhorrent. Not sure why that is. Did it sound better on the 3do? In those days way better quality was available, even with compression. (atleast if I can do it with audacity without increasing file size why can't they?)

Just wanted to inform you, that the graph I made previously for how fast cryptocurrencies are increasing seems to be too conservative.

Cryptocurrency market cap seems to be at about 725 billion USD today (https://coinmarketcap.com/), which is what I predicted it would be at around 2020. So it has increased much faster than I predicted a few months ago.

If it increases at this speed, it might exceed the GDP of Germany before this summer... Germany has the fourth largest economy in the world, after Japan, China and US.

Cryptocurrencies are very soon going to be bigger than Apple and Google:

Cryptocurrencies have gone a bit down, but are now much closer to what I predicted in the original graph.

I have written a bit more about global trends:

Actually, cryptocurrency will also keep a complete and absolute record of where that coin was at which time. Get enough "I know who this was", and you'll be able to track down the whole chain. Forever. As long as that coin keeps getting recorded.... Which, by natiure of the programming, will be as long as someone keeps that particular cryptocurrency alive.

Venezuela's own cryptocurrency actually is a tool for complete observation.

Cryptocurrencies are not necessarily anonymous.

And I do not believe that cryptocurrency will ever be able to replace the trust in states, and their currencies.
I'd turn to gold before I'd turn to cryptocurrencies.

I'd turn to gold before I'd turn to cryptocurrencies.

But your trust in your national currency (or european currency), is based entirely upon the stability of that currency..... If it starts to hyperinflate, you will lose your trust. Everybody will....

But investing in gold sounds like a good idea. it might maintain its value.
