A nice sideeffect of the lawsuit:
FF and especially PR are digging through their old boxes, and digitalizimg their old Star Control related stuff.

Thanks for publishing this sketchbook
It is something that if it were not for this legal problem,
maybe we wouldn't ever known it.
I love see this kind of work because we can see Star Control when it was barely a baby, when everything was being born.
I hope this legal issue is resolved soon in your favor and you can continue the story, I would spend whatever to buy the real Star Control 3.
I would even upgrade this old junk in which I'm writing to be able to play.
(Sorry if my english is bad)

the content sucks, because it is edited.
"We have preserved the most important secrets." (quoted from Fred's post)
is a pretty clear indication to me, that the ideas which they haven't considered within SC2, and which may make an entrance into GotP have not been photographed AND published.
I found the changes between some things I saw here and there to what I remember from the game astonishing.
Not world-breaking, but interesting nontheless.
Of course I would've loved to see the ideas that did not make it into the game, to extend the lore that way.
But GotP will do that.
So, anyone up for a trip to Beta Corvi?
I wanna hear if our friends there have been able to piece more of their History Chants by talking to the other Slylandros, and not just the memory of the three representatives we've been talking with.
It may be very interesting what they may remember about the Sentient Milieu and the Shaggy Ones, once they put their combined remembering brain power behind this effort.
(Might be a good starting point for GotP - the memory being the closest to a ghost we have of them)

Interestingly, the name "Star Control" has also been coined by FF and PR, as the first images show.
Those have been used to pitch Star Control for EA, before they pitched again with Accolade.
